Anyone know what "HUB" means, stamped on a Ruger Speed Six box?
Looking at Speeed Six auctions on GunBroker this morning, and came across this one for a NIB example.
the seller also wonders what the HUB stamp means: "The outer shipping box has Hub stamped in ink from the factory. I have a similar gun written HUB cyl from the factory and sold another. If anyone knows why these are marked HUB I sure would be interested. This has been in my late dads gun safe unfired since originally purchased. He was an FFL and this was part of his personal collection."
Just curious if anyone else has seen this before, and what it might stand for...
