I've cut my forcing cone to 11 deg but even though I went slow with cutting oil, there are some machine marks. How does one polish this?
Thanks
Thanks
I'll check that out, thanksI use a Brownell’s brass lap.
Thanks. Do you think that will work with the rod and handle used to cut the 11 deg forcing cone?
Emery cloth, varying grits. Give your fingers plenty of rest during the process.I've cut my forcing cone to 11 deg but even though I went slow with cutting oil, there are some machine marks. How does one polish this?

Exactly my thoughts. The brass lap is the best option. Using different grits to smooth things up. Uniformity is a key thing here,, and the brass fitted lap is made for that.
