Home Depot Experience

A lot of hardware type stores won't sell you spray paint unless you are 21 or older and you have to show your ID to prove your age. I am 74 and have to tell the clerks if you can't tell I am over 21 you can take your can of paint and stick it up--------------

I had no idea that laundry detergent was such a big deal. I do know HD has a LOT of cameras pointed at the cordless tool display. I know a guy who works there and his comment was "You can't imagine how much stuff walks out of here right before Christmas".

Local Walmart has the fishing lures locked up. If you need something have to find the employee with the key, usually take anywhere from 15 minutes to nearly an hour to buy something. Walmart next town over doesn't lock them up. Ace has a lot of smaller hardware item locked up as well but if you need something an employee is available to help almost immediately. Sadly this is a sign of the times.

Somebody posted an image on Twitter where a store had everything locked up - - - except the sun screen which for some reason their customers didn't seem to steal. To shop an employee went with you and unlocked what you needed then escorted you to the cashier. Covid was a test run of the future you order and pay online and when you arrive they bring it to your car - customers won't be allowed inside.

Stopped in a Home Depot to buy a jug of Tide laundry pods. Finally found where it was but it was locked up behind a cage. Then had to wait for someone to come and unlock it for me. I went to take it from him but he said no. He had to take it to the cashier himself. He told me to get in the checkout line which was about 8 people long. Finally got to the check out station and the lady had to go into a locker there to get my purchase. I guess she had trouble getting it open until finally another employee came up to put another purchase into it. What a hassle just to buy a container of Tide pods.

Easy on shoplifter policy screws us honest people too.
had a similar experience at HD. bought a 4" metal rule and a box knife. to hang some wall art. the clerk had to assist me to purchase the box knife. Tide Pods? a little kid once said suicide is painless. But going out on Tide Pods seems a bit off.

I think locking up the Tide Pods was more of a theft prevention than anything due to poisoning. Filling a shopping cart with small high value items and walking out with it seems the thing to do now days. It's also stuff they can sell at swap meets. So, it's not actually Home Depot that is the enemy here.

they have to do that to keep the queers and other upcoming democrat's voters from eating them.

Am I missing something? Is there some kind of "thing" about eating Tide Pods?
yes you are missing the tide pod challenge that todays future dimocrap voters think is a legitimate exercise in common sense.

On vacation a couple of years ago, we were coming from my daughter's place in Flag and going to in-laws in Denver and Boulder. Had spent a week in Vegas and, Time flew as it does when with family, some of whom you have never met, and we didn't get laundry done as expected. I needed some sweats for traveling and underwear. We stopped at Walmart in Albuquerque. They had the men's underwear LOCKED UP. Seems it's one of the most stolen items. PS: Two ARMED guards in the parking lot!
