Hello There- I'm thinking that I may carry (concealed) my SP101 (3-inch) from time to time. Any thought on a good holster for this?

Thanks

I've been extremely pleased with my OWB scabbard from Matt Del Fatti. It is without a doubt the finest holster I've ever owned, and is the perfect way to carry my SP 101. If you go that route, you will not be disappointed.

Used a Simply Rugged Sourdough for many years before switiching to the SR9c. Great holster for both IWB and OWB.

I ordered a Bobby Mac HC holster for my SP101. Can't give you any feedback as it hasn't arrived yet but I've only read great things about his holsters.

Can't really help for a summer time solution, since my wife and I use custom built IWB's, but the Galco pancake style belt holster works great under a jacket. My wife and I have them (the ones off Ruger's shop with the phoenix emblem stamp) and often wear them while scouting in early spring and fall. They fit tightly and ride very comfortably, and disappear even under a light jacket - for example, the slick black North Face jackets that are all the rage right now.

I had a crossbreed and was really disappointed, as I couldn't get it to draw smoothly. I was surprised, as I have one for a different gun that I really like. I am currently using a Fobus, which I like. However, it does not conceal well with light clothing so I am limited to carrying it in cooler months. Would also be interested in a good option for warmer months.

I have a simply rugged holster. The gun 3" SP. fits very snug and doesn't fall out.

Kho I'd like to hear how you like that Bobby Mac holster when you get it.

I use a Bianchi #8L Shadow for my SP101 2 1/4 in. and it works great, but you would need a different model for the 3 in. barrel. The Mitch Rosen for the LCR also works well, i sometimes use it with my SP101-22.

I hope to be picking up my new Rocky Hill Leather Pancake tomorrow. Oren should have my 3 Inch SP101 done, as well as my 3 Inch Willy Clapp GP100. I have several of his holsters, and I like them all.

He sells on ebay too. Bought a 3" SP101 holster for a buddy from JLW.
When It finally came in, I wished it was mine!

I own a DB-Mac Belt Holster that I purchased from Bobby Mac and I am pleased with how it rides and carries my 2" S&W Model 64.

While this holster may not be the most stylish holster on the market, Bobby Mac put some careful thought into its design as it distributes the weight of my k-frame revolver very well.

I would not hesitate to order another DB-Mac Belt Holster from Bobby Mac.
