Help with adjusting Rem 721 trigger

I have a Remington 721 that has a 5lb trigger. I have searched for how to adjust the trigger, and the only thing I can find is that there is a description in a book by Frank De Haas titled Bolt Action Rifles. Does anyone have this book, and if so, can I somehow get that description please.

The 700 and 721 trigger is basically the same one. Many of the older 721 / 722 triggers used a two piece or split sear. These can be replaced by the better one piece 700 trigger sear if you can fine one.

Thanks for the help. I was able to get the trigge weight down to just over 3 lbs. with no overtravel. However, it now has a lot of creep I cant get out. Any ideas?
