The link below is to an album of several pictures of this engraved Bearcat. I'm trying to find information about who the engraver is. The work is top notch so I would expect it to be from an engraver that is known. The initials appear to be EFC or EJC. The first letter on the left is an E and the last is a C. The center letter looks like the tail of the E goes all the way across so maybe even a T. The picture of the engraver's initials in the second to last. The grips are marked carved by KDH which when using google shows reference to grips marked this way in Julia and other auction house listings.

Enjoy the pictures and I'd appreciate any information if you have any thoughts about the engraver.

Thanks,
Alan

That Bearcat was engraved for JC Brown by Frank Clark, Lubbock,TX. Frank is deceased. Grips are elephant ivory, hand carved by Dennis Holland, Lubbock, TX, one side with a cat the other a bear.

Superb. But,with the 91- prefix, wouldn't that be a Super Bearcat with the all steel (and therefore engravable) frame? Black Dog
