You guys know how this happens. I have to order some stuff from Midway so while bowsing the catalog I see stuff I don't need/really want .
This time it's the Bisley hammer assembly #758-249 from the stock Ruger parts.
Is this a complete drop in assy.?
Will it fit in a Blackhawk and work with the blackhawk trigger?
Are stainless and blue interchangable?
Sorry if this has been addressed a thousand times but I had a hard time with the search.

Is this a complete drop in assy. The assembly is complete.

Will it fit in a Blackhawk Yes, when the bisley hump is removed.

and work with the blackhawk trigger?Yes

Are stainless and blue interchangable?Yes

Cool! Is that a simple filing/grinding handwork thing or is that hammer hard as glass.
I'd be tempted to try a super blackhawk also but it seems the stainless bisley is the only one in stock.

SUPER hammers drop in....just did a couple last week. They look and feel nice on the set of 5.5 inch Original Size VAQUEROS...trigger pull isn't too good, but NO FITTING was done...they'll be going to gunsmith asap.

BROWNELLS had them about two weeks ago...they had been on back order for about a month.

They are hard, and yes you said it best "simple filing/grinding handwork thing" A good sharp file & vice to help hold it helps. Takes me about a hour.
