I know this has been answered before but I have forgotten the posts.
Will a current SuperBlackhawk hammer exchange in a later single six without modification(removing the hump ect)? How about the new Vaquero? I would like to change some but not sure if they will work or if I can get any from Ruger. I have not tried them. I am thinking someone said the Super hammer was the easiest to replace them with. Thanks

I am thinking that Single Six hammers are smaller than Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk hammers.
They have a different part# at Midway in the Single Six section from hammers listed in the Blackhawk section.

Single-Six hammers are considerably smaller than a Super Blackhawk hammer.

A Super hammer, IIRC, can work in a New Vaquero or Vaquero.

Plan B is to use a Bisley Single-Six hammer.....

The "Bisley Hump" was removed prior to installation.

IIRC, A Single Six standard hammer has a lower spur than SBH hammer.

Ja, because the overall length is considerably shorter than the Super.

Again, the way to get a lower hammer spur in a New Model Single-Six is to
adapt a Bisley Single-Six hammer.

OR, fire up your TIG welder and make one... :D
