Halloween decorations/prank too realistic?

Creative,, but I will bet it causes a few calls to the local 911. After a couple of those calls, I would hope the LEO's would shut it down.

My first thought was you’d have to call the local PD and tell them not to respond to calls to that address. Then I realized no PD would do that. Incase there was a real fire. Then I came to the conclusion it is probably the Fire Chiefs house.

Very realistic, very bad idea. Lol.

Can't see Twitter links but pretty much all Halloween decor is over the top and unnecessary. How did decorating as much as Christmas become a think so quickly and how did purple become a Halloween color?

Because people like to celebrate things as a release from their everyday lives.
I see nothing wrong with kids and adults both enjoying themselves. Of course I like candy too.

What if you couldn't get to or from your house for half a day because of the traffic coming in from other towns (and even another State) to your neighborhood? Add that to the fact I was raised to ignore Halloween for religious reasons and it's a high blood pressure day for me.

I can get candy 364 other days per year.

Halloween night 1967 me and two friends were out driving in a 1959 Ford. I was in the front seat in the middle between my two friends. We were in the fast lane when a red 1962 Chevy Impala pulled up along side of us and was matching our speed. I leaned past my friend on the right to see what the car was doing when the passenger door glass exployed in my face injuring my left eye. My friends drove me to the hospital where I spent 5 weeks and having surgery 3 times to save my eye, but I am blind in that eye. I could never prove who did it, but I am pretty sure I know who it was. The 1959 Ford door had lamitated door glass and what ever hit the glass didn't go thru it. The impact was about the size of a nickel and I suspect it was made by a BB gun or slingshot. Of the 4 people that were in the Chevy, I know 2 are dead. 3 were known drug addtics. The first one was stabbed to death by some biker in a drug deal gone bad. The second that died choked to death after overdosing on herion. A third one got shot 5 times by a young girls father, but lived, but because of his age and drug habits is probably dead too. The fourth person I know nothing about.

CHEVYINLINE6.

Not as severe as the above. But it reminded me of a bad experience.

I was walking one Halloween and a car went speeding by. At least 60 mph. Someone in the car threw an egg. It hit me in the chest and knocked me flat on my back. I couldn’t breathe for a while. That egg must have been going 100 mph! 8” higher it would have hit me on the nose.

So you must put up some GREAT decorations for people to come from far and wide to see them.:):)
Post pictures of the neighborhood.

Just remember Candy is dandy, but sex won't rot your teeth, ;)

I think the only way around that might be for the fire dispatch to have the phone number of the homeowner and they call them every time they get a call from a citizen and ask if it's a real fire this time or not.

I thought all this was being done for my birthday. OOPS. But if it has caused purple to be ruined, I'll have it stopped next year. :)

On Halloween night in 2007 we met our guide at a motel in Great Falls, Montana at the start of a 6-day Blast and Cast trip (2 days of duck hunting, 2 days of upland bird hunting and 2 days of trout fishing). He parked his truck and boat with his decoys, waders, etc, in the motel parking lot. That night, someone stole all of his gear. (He had taken his guns to his room.). After calling his insurance agent the next morning, we had to make a stop at Scheels for him to replace everything that was stolen.

Well after posting my disdain for everything Halloween related, I do not decorate in the least.

It's not the decorations that bring the people from other neighborhoods and from Love County, OK ... it's the candy. I live near the historic district in the largest town for 40 miles any direction and the toothless in-breads, etc. block the road over here for their kids to beg for hand-outs ... like they do in some fashion every other day of the year.

Try having to work in and around Salem Mass in October. It’s turning into Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Makes me sick. Women were murdered there and it’s turned into a celebration.

My wife buys a couple of large bags of candy for the trick or treaters every year even though we haven't had a single one in over 30 years.

Some friends of ours live in a neighborhood where 700 kids on Halloween is common. Looking at the traffic I believe it too.
