Illinois made hunting with single shot rifles using straight wall cartridges legal Jan1st. Sat in my tree stand with my Number 1 this morning for the late season hunt. Didn't see any deer or coyotes to use it on. Maybe if I hadn't spent so much time looking at my rifle and admiring it, I would have had a better chance of seeing game.
