Hacked some grips

Dang, i sure aint no CaryC or 41 magnum, but i did it.

Took some big ol target grips down to a more manageable size. Got a little over zealous with the belt sander but they'll work for now...

During stage. Will hand sand em to smioth out as many of the rough edges as possible.

After. Good as i can get em. Filed the edges off and sanded smooth for the most part with 400 grit. 2 coats of tung oil.

Not bad, probably a lot more of what you wanted vs what you had. I keep toying with getting a set of the Hogue laminate camo grips for my stainless Single Six and then doing the same thing to them.

We can only learn by doing. I think you did fine. My first few sets weren't very pretty, but they were functional. You get better the more you do!

Ha! Not hardly!!! But i like em better bein smaller now and like em a whole lot better than the black plastic uglies it had. Will add some real grips when i do something with the gun.

Thanks contender. I have a bunch of corian at mom and dad's. May make some pimp grips. Ha.

They definitely look better now than before. I can't imagine how awkward those big fat grips felt.

They actually felt decent. But not as good as the standard shape i am used to.
