He says Connecticut changed the law and this rifle with a threaded barrel is an assault weapon. He tried to register as one but they are giving him the run a round.
So he cuts it up.

His primary issue is being an ******* idiot! His primary issue is living a draconian state with such stupid regulations.
If it wouldn't have fallen below the legal limit for barrel length, why not have a gunsmith cut the threaded portion off and recrown it?
Same reason I would never participate in a gun buy back program.Yes, The anti 2A crowd will view this as a win for their team ! What a dummy.![]()
I think he is doing a strategic withdrawal until he relocates. After all he said he will replace it, plus maybe purchase 10 more to had out as gifts.Good for him! People this stupid shouldn't own firearms.
He could've just tack welded the thread protector to be 'legal' but now he's out the money he paid and looks like a moron....
One nice looking 10/22 you have therePut a thread protector on the end and prick punch it in place.... I did that on this one. This idiot was grandstanding View attachment 27694
I’m surprised sling shots are legal there.
I live in NY and have draconian laws enacted here which are on par to Ct.I think he is doing a strategic withdrawal until he relocates. After all he said he will replace it, plus maybe purchase 10 more to had out as gifts.
Virtue signals come in all shapes and sizes.I must say I did the same with a bunch of my self manufactured receivers when people were offering stupid money for the parts kits. Cut, melted down or burned. With all the Ghost Gun BS it was easier and incredibly profitable.
Same reason I would never participate in a gun buy back program.
With the ease of being able to swap barrels on a 10/22, it does make me wonder if this guy was a shill for the anti-gun crowd
I agree, probably had her panties in a bunch the entire time!He is obviously a drama queen….absolutely no need to do what he did and he HAD to know that. He made himself look foolish in the process….him and CT deserve each other it appears!
Thank you! They are great to tinker with but sawing one in pieces just ain't rightOne nice looking 10/22 you have there![]()

I had over 20 80% AR's that I built laying around and over a dozen Poly 80 frankenglocks that the grips only halfway worked for me that I didn't particularly like at all. People were begging me for the parts to build their own during the scares. I figured they would be better off distributed among other Patriotic Americans. They've funded several replacements among other things. I'm not exactly lacking and a few dozen 80% that I didn't have to pay to get them engraved to keep them 100% legalVirtue signals come in all shapes and sizes.
