Hey Guys,
Grandson just passed his FAA check ride for his Instrument Rating.
He now has a Commercial License for Single and Multi. Engine Airplane with Single Eng. Seaplane Rating and Instrument Airplane Rating.
He also has his Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License.
All of this has been on his own dime and a lot of help and time from his Dad.
Happy Granddad :)

Good deal, it ought to make life a lot easier doing delivery flights and moving aircraft around.
Being in the Midwest and dealing with crowded and controlled airspace all the time I often found
it easier to just file IFR even on nice days. Brings a lot more utility to an airplane.

G2 Thanks so much for the invite, but maybe sometime. We are still spending a lot of time working on the kit plane.
What years and what did your son do on the Nimitz? Trey was the Airboss 2010-2012.

And thanks to all of the rest of you for the compliments.

Trey got his command after Joe retired as a 'Nuke' (Desert Shield 1990-95?) and before they had put the Nimitz in drydock ,I believe it was Bremerton........would have loved to meet ALL the "boys".....oops as well as your Daughter, heck she flies too! Sadly my Brother in Law Rich G. passed away he served on the Enterprise two tours during Vietnam, ended up a Command Master Chief later on,,,,, in 30 years of Navy Service... God Bless them ALL !!
and again congrats to your Grandson , awesome job well done....(y)(y)
