My Sub 2000 made me realize that in a small discreet 18x10 pack I can carry a substantial firepower increase over my Max9.
The pack will contain my Sub2000 with QD red dot and pistol scope, a PSA Dagger with red dot light and laser in a Shoulder rig and 6 27rnd mags.

My work pickup carries my PDW and a small tool bag containing spare magazines & boxed spare ammo for my handgun and PDW, first aid/trauma kit, and a medium sized sheath knife.
On a hook by my exterior basement door is a surplus vest with holster containing a P95, 4 spare loaded mags, large fixed blade knife, flashlight, and 8 loaded AR mags( AR hangs beside it)--all I need to 'repel boarders' at a moment's notice.

I have a Tactical Tennis Racket case that I might set up similarly with an AR in 5.56 or 350 Legend and my 7" 357 Sig with mags etc. I hadn't really thought about First Aid Kits since they are in all of the vehicles and around the house already.

Well the Sub 2000 seems to be accurate and reliable. I zeroed the red dot and pistol scope at 25yds. Under 2" with the red dot. The scope had a cold barrel flyer and then a neat vertical string. The mounts seem solid and repeatable. Next will be 100yds. I'll be picking up the Dagger on Friday. I already have the dot mounted on the slide waiting on the week to be up so I can get the frame. If I can have 2 mag compatible 1-200yd minute of bad guy capable firearms and almost 200 rnds in an 18"x10"x4" pack. What's funny I suppose is that the red dot probably had a tighter group but the scope let me see what the barrel was actually doing.

Got the other half of the combo yesterday. Still waiting on the brake and laser. PSA Dagger with a Cyelee Doctor optic. 100 misc rnds before a 5 shot group. I guess I'll be making a holster this week. I'll try to see if I can get some better accuracy with some Handloads.

Grab and Go: I watch way too many movies lately but one I watched last evening re-enforced the value of a G & G pack. This guy had PO'd a drug dude and some bad guys showed up in force to settle the matter. Good guy was caught with only his lever action and a few extra rounds in a buttstock cartridge sleeve. Of course he made it work (the script, you know) but certainly would have been difficult in real life scenario.

My SUB2K is always with me, not in a pack though. I have a pack with a lot more things, most of them small and light so I can carry it all if ever needed.

Two different scenarios for me.

The problem I've always had with this idea of a 'Grab and Go Bag' is ... not what goes in the bag but where the hell are you going to go?

I think with where I am at this point in my life.... I'll just stay put and if need be stand and fight.
You never know when you'll get a call from a kid, grandkid or friend that needs an assist and you want to roll prepared quickly. This would be an easy and compact way to go. Maybe not as heavy as I like to go though. I'll have to decide how I want to set up my tactical tennis racket case. Either my boring 5.56 AR or my 350 Legend AR. 3-500yds with some wallop is more my speed even more effective up close. Pretty sure these Lehigh's will punch an engine block.

During the BLM Riots and the stealing of the American Presidential Election I carried a go bag in my truck everywhere I went. I was living in Houston and was required to be multiple places around the city. I was not going to be caught without the things needed to E&E out of a bad situation. My bag had three days worth of freeze dried food, first aid kit with several packages of bleed stop, PVS-14 NV, rope, zip ties, water, 5 extra loaded HK91 mags, map of city, rain gear, poncho liner and a few other items that would help me get home. My plate carrier had a Glock 21, 4 extra mags and 4 91 mags and an Emerson Timberline Fixed blade . I felt pretty good in my load out and was glad I never had to ditch my truck and make my way across the urban jungle on hoof. I still carry a lighter load out but not to the extent I was at that time. That was one of the major factors in leaving an extremely good living and going back to Montana.
