GP100 model 171

Hello- I am new to this group, and have a few questions.. My fatherinlaw passed away and left me a gp100 357 model 171. This has never been shot and still has the box and all papers in mint condition. should i go ahead and shoot this or try to keep it as is for the future. What does one of these cost new???

That is one tough gun you got there. I would shoot the snot out since it has very little collector value. The new ones are right around $600.
