GP100 hammer mods? Anyone done any?

I have tinkered a bit on the P-series and a few single action (tens and blackhawks) and was wondering if anyone has changed or modded the GP hammer. Looks so "boxy" to me after installing bisley hammers in my single tens and blackhawks.

Looking for ideas or pictures or both. Any and all comments are welcomed.

I polished one of mine, and didn't really do that great of a job because it's a really hard metal! Even just trying to file down the sharp edges was a pain. I was thinking of maybe skeletonizing one, but I don't have the tools to do that.

A spurless hammer will reduce lock time. It could be trimmed quite thin. GP hammers are hard to get so any experimentation will be expensive.

I filed off the coconut grating checking on mine, and made it a little smaller at the same time.

What I really want to do is Bob it, and add the checking like a speed hammer on a speed six. I haven't taken the plunge yet, but I am getting closer. My GP is fixed sight, so I feel it should be bobbed.

I cut off the hammer spur, filed and stoned.
With the addition of the compact grips my 3in GP is a handy, easy to carry 357.

Looks good 357, someday I'll do mine. Mine is fixed sight, but the longer barrel.

I rounded the sharp-edges and polished the hammer (as well as the trigger) on my GP100...Nothing too drastic, but it looks, and feels, a lot better than "stock".

This grip allows for a VERY high hold on the gun, and is VERY comfortable...And not near as bulky or "grabby" as the Hogue rubber grip.

So far, for my GP100, I have the Pachmayr Gripper, the 2 Hogue rubber grips, and the Uncle Mike's (Butler Creek) grip...I find the Uncle Mike's grip to be the best, at-least for me.

I have both Hogue (Tamer and regular)(one marked Ruger), mikes, and the old school "lett" unit Ruger used to install. I like the wood / rubber old Lett style the best. More for look than function. Really never shot it with anything else.
