Has anyone had their GP100 modified to use Moon Clips? If so can you share your experience? Can the gun be used w/o a clip in place? Would you do it again? Would you recommend to others?

I am familiar with Moonclips.com; are there other places and ways to use moon-type clips?

I believe if moonclips themselves don't cut it they send it tp pinnacle guns for it. With Pinnacle they can be used with or without moonclips.

Both options are available. TK is the route I would go, his prices are pretty good and gives the option to use with or without the moonclips.

I heard about TK recently and I am thinking about doing the Security Six when I get it out of layaway. I wasn't sure if it would work without moonclips glad to hear it does. His total package price isn't bad at all.

Watch this video of a S&W 686 cylinder being machined @ TK Customs & @ the end it shows deprimed rounds being dropped in with & without the moonclip.. NICE!!

Yes, I saw that video. I was really looking for someone who has modified their GP100 to accept moon clips and get their thoughts. Primerless rounds show fit, not actual firing of live ammo and longer term affects on the brass, etc. Thanks.
