Hey everyone, i got the Wolff spring kit for my dads gp 100, but i can't seem to find the tech guide to change out the trigger spring. I found pics but it doesn't help much. Anyone know where i can find a step by step guide?

Follow the disassembly instructions in the manual or go to Ruger Tech Tips http://ruger.com/resources/videos.html for a video on how to take the gun down. The mainspring is easy to change if you hold the hammer strut in a vice. The trigger return/trigger guard spring can be changed by compressing it with a screwdriver if I remember correctly. :D

Another thread about changing the springs in a GP.

Remove the grips , use the pin to capture the mainspring .

Take a magic marker & (dot) the peices to keep em in the correct orientation!

Depress spring ( I use a small vise with a peice of leather to hold the strut) then a small pair of vise grips clamped to the stirrup , carefully remove the pin & stirrup.

This is a stamped part so now is a good time to smooth up the ruff side!! & don`t forget the slot in the stirrup!!

Reassemble in reverse order keepin the marks oriented correctly .

I make a tool for disassembling the ruger GP/SP? SIXes with ,you can see it in reoccuring items section !!!

It`ll make it easier & safer , I promise !!!
