Well I picked up my SP101 today in .38 with 2.25 bbl.

Its a first year of production gun without any blemishes, scratches, or wear anywhere on the gun. the original grips are on it and they too are still awesome.... the gun could easily pass for new expect for the very very faint cylinder line.

I thought i was getting a pretty good deal for $350 when the guy sold me it was in very good condition with some wear... but the gun is like new so at $350 im very pleased.

Also went ahead and picked up a "Wild Bills" leather paddle holster for $60 bucks.... i know its prolly not as nice or whatnot as some of those high dollar holsters but it rides somewhat high and conceals easily and comfortably.

Put some Hogue grips on it and it will shoot like a darlin'.
The trigger guard raps my middle knuckle hard when using the factory grip and make full house 357 loads uncomfortable to shoot.

What is your location? Sir This is not a nit pick.
I am a long standing fan of the .38 Special SP101. k Calthrop

very pleased with the set up

I'm trying to find one in a three inch barrel, but, it looks like Ruger stopped making the 38 special SP101 in 3" anymore. Can this model shoot the 38 special +P as well?
