Any rumors if there will any new GP100 offerings, such as perhaps a fixed rear sight version of the 3" .44 special or any other calibers that start with a 4? Just curious what you've heard or speculate before I dip into my cash stash and wish I'd have waited a few more weeks.

Thanks all,
russ

I would love to see one chambered in 10mm and cut for moon clips so you could use either 10mm or .40 S&W, preferably a 6-shot.

I would like to see a 3" .44 mag. If they would just make a barrel with a thicker shank and forcing cone it should work. Another one I would like to see is a 7 shot GP to compete with the 686 Plus. The cylinders are very close in diameter so no reason they can't do it.

I agree that the 3" barreled 44 Special GP should be offered in a fixed-sight offering. Any handloader worth his salt should be able to tailor a load to shoot to POA/POI.

I have always assumed (and this includes myself) the 44 SPL crowd to be of the "roll-yer-own" variety anyway!

Is a 41 Mag out of the question? How about the 44 mag? The S&W 69 is based on the L-frame Smith, so why not a GP100 in 44 mag?

I agree that would be a great gun, especially if they can do it as a 6 shot in 4" and 6"
versions.

GP100 in some sort of rimmed 10 mm Magnum (401 Powermag!?), 200 grains at 1400 fps from 6" barrel. However, cylinder should be done the same way as 45 Colt/45ACP Redhawk, so it could shoot rimmed 10 mm Magnum, and 10 mm Magnum (rimless)/10mm Auto/40S&W with clips. Can't imagine more versatile revolver. The only thing I would suggest on it is same steels for cylinder and barrel they use for 454 revolvers. I wouldn't mind paying few hundreds more for a such revolver.

Totally agree, I'm sure they would sell alot of them. S&W had a great run with their 610, very popular with the hunters.

My pick would be a 6 shot .41 special/Magnum Match Champion followed by a 10mm Match Champion! The most energy per ounce of gun. Bob!! :D

I truly believe we will be seeing a GP100 in 10mm.
It's here! Unfortunately, just as a custom proposal; http://www.clementscustomguns.com/rugerdarevolvers.html

How about bringing back the 327 Federal GP -- now that ammo is available and 327 Fed is getting some traction.

At least 7 shots, or preferably 8.
