Just replaced the stock sight on my 3 in SP101 with a Meprolight trituim dot. What a distinct difference in sight picture. My eye goes directly to it. So easy to see.
The install took me appx 20 minutes. Very easy job. Made sure I had everything I needed before hand. Sorry I waited as long as I did to do it.
Bought the sight from Optics planet. Cost me $44 shipped to the house. About the best price around for that sight.
Recommend to any SP101 owner who needs a little help seeing the front sight.

That's good news. Did you do anything to the rear sight.

I fired a DAO SP101 recently. I liked it except for the sights. I think I'd really like it with a tritium front sight, and a black rear sight notch.

I had trouble seeing the sights on my LCR until I painted the front sight fluorescent red-orange. The rear sight notch is already black, and it's fine.

Didnt touch the rear sight channel. It works perfect for me with just the tritium front replacement.

Might have to add me one.

The sight says for .38/.357. Is that what you've got? I'm wondering if it would be the correct sight for the .327 Fed. Also, what was "everything I needed before hand"? What's needed?

Thanks TJ
