Frisco TX trial

The perp had a 3.5” blade, he was using it as a get off me weapon. The perp asked if the kid was going to be ok? Generally a 3.5” blade isn’t used in a stabbing. The military uses 6-7” blades for sentry removal etc. All that I have read so far says the perps knife entered the heart. I question that assertion.
gramps
‘Get off me weapon ?’ YGBSM.

No one was ever on him.

He was going around looking for a fight. And I don’t know where ‘blade length’ comes into the equation. It was a common locking life (much like the Chinese knockoffs of the Brite Strikes) not unlike carry knives many of us have here (albeit perhaps not as well constructed).

He was repeatedly asked to leave by a multitude of people and intent on escalating the situation into a conflict with someone. This was obvious from the trial. The minute one person tried to show him the exit he deliberately drew his knife, stabbed him and killed him. Getting through the sternum takes a fair bit of force which KA had no problem deliberately doing.

It’d be directly analogous to a person entering a private club he’s not a member of, making a scene, having several people ask him to leave, perhaps having the doorman try to show him the door and then that person pulls out his gun and shoots the doorman.

And the jury who had more evidence presented strongly agreed. While perhaps the sentence was lighter than many of us wanted it was clearly murder.

Perhaps KA was a product of his background. If one looks at the behavior of his family before, during, and after the trial it’s obvious he wasn’t exactly raised by some quality folks. Did they conserve the cash gotten from a fund me type website ? Nope. They blew it on stuff.

So ya....he was looking for a fight, found some mild resistance towards him not being where was allowed to be, and then knifed a good man who was showing him the door. With the weapon he had and was waiting to use.

The only thing most people have chagrin over is his sentence was a bit light; 35 years gets him out in 17. The teen who had a wonderful life ahead of him won't get anymore years ever. All because of a thug gansta wanna be who perhaps didn't realize we in TX aren't real tolerant of a murderer. And will at the very least send him to jail for most of his life.

I'm not angry. I just didn't see what you were saying had to do with what I posted. You don't have to explain how you're not a racist.
You questioned why the thread has went the way it has. I can only speak for myself but I am just sick of the crap I see online & in the media. The Democrat politicians & the media constantly push a narrative that white people are evil. If a white person does something bad their picture will be all over the news. If a black person or a trans person does something bad their picture will be absent as long as possible & the news usually drops reporting on it as quickly as possible. I have been seeing many short films on social media with insane false claims about this case attempting to make the murderer the victim. Even a picture of a young black guy urinating on the victim's grave. One side of the political aisle constantly reinforces a culture of victimhood (I am not saying all blacks fall for that crap, but a certain subculture does). The narrative is that everything is white privilege & that black people can't take care of themselves without help from a certain political party. Every time things start to calm down & people start to get along some race baiter knocks the scab off the wound so they can profit from it. It is why the SPLC was funding the KKK.
The victimhood culture helps no one. I have known people that would say I do this or I act this way because I was beat or sexually abused or whatever. That may be but if a person is aware they are a certain way because of their past they can make a choice to move past it & better themselves. Until that person resolves to change & starts looking for the positive things they can do & striving to better themselves nothing can be done for them. There comes a time when a person has to stop blaming others & assume responsibility for their part in things & move on. I am sick to death of the Democrat Party, the race baiters, & the culture of victimhood & entitlement they encourage.

"I'm not. I'm just offended by the insults. I'm black."

Ok,, let's look at the fact you are offended.

Can I politely (and I mean this sincerely,) what are you doing to help other see the good in black people?
Why are you not out there, going to places where the majority of people are black & working to change they minds?

I was raised in an area full of real southern hillbillies,, where a LOT of what I was exposed to while growing up is wildly racist & offensive to many now.
Yet,, by being properly educated and taught respect,, I like to think I'm very capable of looking beyond a person's skin color & just judging them by their actions.
So,, if you are offended,, I (again) ask politely,, what are YOU doing to change the minds of other black people? The very types who promote the agenda of being oppressed, or whatever to their own gain at the expense of true justice.
Teach people,, ALL people to take parenting seriously. Teach people to take responsibility for their own actions. Teach people to stop blaming society, or whatever else they use as an excuse of their behavior.

Lastly,, I have enjoyed a few, in person, direct & in-depth discussions with a fine black gentleman, named Colin Noir,, who is actually doing the very things I'm asking you to do.
Why not follow his example,, instead of coming here full of anger & attacks upon people who are just plain tired of the way a percentage of black people, the media & even other groups who vilify everyone who doesn't agree with them. This includes the justice system,, where too many criminals get their crimes reduced, or released etc, records sealed etc,, when real punishment has a long history of preventing further crimes.

So,, can you be more like Colin,, or not?

People can be so sensitive to racism they see it where it isn’t.

I have found no amount of reasoning from a white man can convince them otherwise.

That is why we need good strong black people to stand up and help their people.

Historically those that do that have been beaten down and called Uncle Tom’s.

Somehow we need to break the cycle.

I knew an old black man (he was raised in the south if that matters).

He told me I hate Nwords more than anyone you’ve ever met. They hold us all back.

Another time he told me. If I talk to someone one on the phone there is no reason I should be able to tell they are black.

People are benefiting from us fighting amongst ourselves. They keep racism alive. We are being played for fools.

We need to put this behind us and unite against our common enemies.

I think what happened is for years people didn’t recognize that there could be — and were — and continue to be a whole bunch of black racists. Racism comes in all colors and there are not any groups who are ‘protected’ or get special privileges or treatment (or even excuses to behave badly) based on color. Demanding special privileges or ‘reparations’ or whatever because one is black is simple racism. And to think of it something like the NAACP which might advocate advancement based solely on color would be a racist organization as well.

So, I am offended that forum members posted insults about blacks, and lies about blacks, and the moderators left those posts up despite the forum rules.

Why should I be motivated by their insulting and prejudiced behavior to do anything at all? Especially go about some sort of educational program to sell the racists on the idea that their already good fellow citizens have value? Or preach to other black people that they need to do better because the people that have hated them for several centuries just need a little more convincing?

That frankly sounds crazy. You sound like you believe that racism is just a recent and natural byproduct of the behavior only found among black people, and therefore racism is justified. But that isn't what is happening.

You know, if anyone is offended by being here, there is a way out.
It's not like you are forced to stay.
Thank you for reminding me that if I don't like the way I am treated at the hardware store, or in a park, or on a forum dedicated to a brand of sporting goods - I can just stop going to those places. After all, why shouldn't looking for Ruger MKI gunsmithing advice come with insults and prejudice unrelated to guns?

People can be so sensitive to racism they see it where it isn’t.

Convince me that someone stating an outright and obviously ridiculous lie designed to make people afraid of and angry at people that look like me is "seeing racism where it isn't"? Share your "reasoning", please.

If the US government sent out COVID checks to everyone but white people, would you want that inequity addressed?

What if you served with honor in WWII, like my great uncle did, and that same government gave every other veteran help buying a house and getting a college degree?

By your comments you are proving my point. Instead of being part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Be part of the solution,, emulate the kinds of things that people like Colin does.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DO.

But you seem to have missed the bulk of my comments, which is that you seem to think racists care what black people actually do. They don't.

Ok,, your post;

"But you seem to have missed the bulk of my comments, which is that you seem to think racists care what black people actually do. They don't"

What about black racists people? The ones like shown in the video way back in this thread, where the guy is screaming about the only good cracker is a dead cracker?

YOU are missing MY intent. BE PART OF THE SOLUTION,,!!!!!

The two have no connection. What does someone insulting me have to do with someone else insulting some other group?

I'm not able to perform whatever wacky mental false equivalence you are trying to sell. People hating blacks is not due to something black people did to deserve it, and stopping that hate isn't going to come from blacks trying harder. Stop trying to put this back on me. You're like a rapist that blames women for being so darn hot.

Imagine a world where white people celebrated the free labor that black slaves 'donated' to the building of our country instead of finding their descendants subhuman.

And this is me being part of the solution - talking to people with closed minds to see if there is any way to get some light in there.

Wow, 10 pages. Has anyone changed their mind?
One of the main tenets of Marxism/Rules for Radicals is you get people to accept undeserved guilt (which Ayn Rand talks about as well). This has been used for nefarious purposes since mankind discovered what guilt is.

No one here owned slaves (in fact most of the slave trade while it was happening was one tribe capturing members of another and then selling them off) and no one has any reason to feel any guilt because our society has been pretty much open through most of our lives. And if you go back far enough pretty much everyone in America can find ancestors who were slaves and other ancestors who were slavemasters. Nevertheless the goal of marxists is to 'make up' guilt where none should be there (things like 'systemic' BS).

The antidote for this is the wholesale rejection of such a concept and claims thereof. Don't buy into the marxist paradigm. Reject it with pride. We're all equal; deal with it.
