Fredericksburg 3

Mrs. Pawncop and I have the Pioneer cabin. coming in on Ffriday until Sunday. I will bring a bottle of Port to toast our departed brother in arms, and other items as I think of them. Last year I brought around 5000 rounds of 22 and will do that as well.

So looking forward to seeing everyone again. Good times await.

Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer sometime, it finally dawned on me to find out where Fredericksburg TX was. Can't believe that I was just a few miles away when out in San Antonio last year. The wife and I had dinner at the Po Po Restaurant just down the way from Fredericksburg. Perhaps I can talk her into making the trip West as a 75th birthday present next year.

Just so ya know, I received an e-mail from the Tin Star Ranch this morning. Maybe I can find an excuse to come on down there next spring. Sounds like even though they may not have hookups they may have room for a self contained unit.

Hugh,
Self Contained travel trailer will be fine it $25 for the weekend.
Thanks
Casey

Frank: Let her know that most of us bring our better halfs so she won't be having to put up with us coots all the time.

Hugh: Would be great to have an old salt (said with respect) with us. It is alot of fun. You won't leave without a sense of friendship. By the way I think I am one of the youngest of this group and I'm 50. LOL.

I'll be there for sure. May bring a friend or wife...

You have more than one wife??

LOL! Only 1 wife and that's all I can handle! Have a couple of friends I told last year about the fun I had and they were excited about coming this year.

I'll be bringing something for you 'ol timers to consume (either BBQ, jalapeno sausage, scotch, beer, or...?)!

Jeff :D

I'm going to make some "pooting beans". I got to give you old farts some relief. We might have to drive IFR after this GTG.

Hank sent me a pm a couple of weeks ago wanting to know if I was going to make to Fredricksburg.
Yes me and the wife also. If she can arrange her work vacation time .
I wouldn't miss it.

Do try to make it and bring Jim if he's up for it. If not,I think I can make it to the East Coast 2nd meet next year.

Think I'll report you to the EPA and OSHA just to add a little excitment to the get together.
I can see it now; A bunch of gubbermint Yahoo's running around in bio-hazard fully enclosed suits with stink meters and such instrumentation, lining you all up along a rail fence.. Gotta stop now, Im giggling too hard to tyipe.

Pamela: I won't eat a bean, but I will bring some of Pipers olives and they tear me up beyond all belief. Just kidding with you. My farts don't stink. LOL.

Well. I rented a cabin at the Tin Star for the 11th, 12th, and 13th and will be leaving the 14th. Mickey and Cherry said that they were looking forward to seeing us again, so it ought to be fun. I am going to call the KOA to be sure that we can use their kitchen again for Saturday night like the last two years. I don't forsee a problem with it, but better to be safe than sorry.lol Talk to you guys and gals soon, Hank

Mssr. Wyandot 8) !!!! Save me the RV space next to yours. If there is any way Linda and I can make it, we will. I'll have to bring something delectable from the Puget Sound to nibble on. That will be tough. All the real good stuff will spoil enroute. May be some Octopus jerky?

I hope we can coordinate this with a bunch of guys who will be getting together near Las Vegas for a get-together and shoot in April sometime. The dates for that one are yet to be determined.

This is the one we had in Jean, NV a few years ago.

Hank, I hate to say it but my work schedule puts me offshore the entire month of May. Wish Charlene & I could make it.

I'm just leaving port now and I just talked to her. She received the package and read your note to me. Sure would have liked to swap those lies and truths then do some shootin. well maybe a few truths!

Thanks for the seasoning and beans I promise to put them to use when I get back home. Though she might kick me out if I eat too many.
Take care Hank and thanks again.
Danny

Hey Danny. You can always make a trip to mosquito country my friend. And Charlene too if she can put up with you on a trip.lol I know how the oilpatch is. My son in law just left to go overseas again to do some directional drilling until that clown of a president, and those little clowns who support him without a clue as to why, go away and maybe colonize some other planet. Not much work to do on another planet, but they are not used to working anyway so it would be fine.lol Anyway, I have place for you when you can break free. Be safe Danny. Not like working in a library like some from the left thing.lol Hank

As usual, Hank will donate a hawkeye to the person traveling the farthest.

Hmmm. Yeah, I really liked that Hawkeye the first year. Unless someone beats 1,100 miles I should win it's twin this year as well :P

Beagledog ..........

You better go around the block a few times. Looks like about 1,500 road miles from here to there. We're planning on the trip, the Good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise.

Rich. It will be good to have you guys. Hope that you like real Cajun food.lol Merry Christmas to you, Hank

Rich, I'd gladly give up another Hawkeye (Hmmmm) if that's what gets you folks there! Hey, we can talk a little about my 20 years in Puget Sound and the "monster" blacktail I got up on Lopez Island.

Hank, I call dibs on the front porch of that cabin, if y'all will have me. Maybe we ought to wait and see how my visit in March goes. You may not want to see me again!

Hope it all works out for both trips...

Peace and God bless, Wolfie.

Hank, do you know if Mickey and Cherry have rental space for a Silverado I would sleep in? There's that state park right outside of town but I'd rather pay the money to them and be close by to you'al.

BTW, the only way I can swing this trip is to combine it with my first migration up to my new land in upstate NY and I cannot do a round trip of 2,200 miles and then turn around to head back to NY. So it would be Fredericksburg and north or bust!

Oh dang, If Wolfies coming I will just have to back out, I just couldn't stand the razzmatazz that I will have to endure. LMAO. Damn Giants/Damn Cardinals.

I bet we could get along though, the smell of gunpowder just makes one forget about other stuff.

Jeff, will you be traveling single or double? I sure hope to meet you both. Hopefully my families situation improves. I'll update my post on my dad.

See ya in Fburg. buddies.

DANG, If I made the trip, you'd have me beat out by about 300 miles (1207); I'm still thinking about it.
