I was never in Subic.
I am however, surrounded by Navy Veterans who talk about Subic often enough, it's like I was there anyway. :lol:

Hi,
A buddy had lots of stories from there: USS Enterprise about 1969 -71. He's gone now, and his ship's gone, too. But I imagine Subic Bay will last about forever!

Been there a few times when I was active duty. Almost got killed once, by a couple of the locals. Other than that Olongapo can be fun.
I was in Subic, particularly Olongapo several times in '71. Had a great time for the most part. Stationed on the USS Midway, CVA-41. Lots of don't talk, don't tell activities back then.... 8)
