Some time back someone posted a link to a flight tracker (Not to be confused with Flightaware.com) that showed every flight that was in the air, anywhere in the world. When my PC died a while back and I lost the link and cannot find it again. Any help would be appreciated.

I have to wonder exactly how these things work and how reliable they are after yesterday's Delta snafu. Apparently, after cessation of all of their flights various flight-tracker sites were still showing their flights proceeding as scheduled.

Cool links! Many years ago, I remember chilling in a pool in Leticia, Colombia on the Amazon River. Looking in the sky, my lady friend stated that there weren't any planes flying over. I said it was because we were in the middle of f&%$*n nowhere and there weren't any flights over where we were.

Seems there still aren't

what I discovered back in June was that you can go on line and find out the gate your flight is not only taking off from but the one it will be at when it lands as well as the gate for your next flight.... assuming this works, my wife and I are walking to our gate in the morning in Charlotte... it is a long walk pretty much from one end of the terminal to the other... but since we will be sitting for most of the day.... we'd both rather do this than take the shuttle service.

I have been using both of them for years. You have to remember that what you see is generally about 5 minutes delayed. I can go out on my front porch and see an aircraft passing by and then go into the house and get on Flightradar and watch it pass where it was when I was outside. I am situated on one of the main southbound routes to BWI (Baltimore/Washington) and IAD (Dulles)
