Can anyone give me the felt recoil on a 150 gr bullet fired from a 8lb rifle in 308 vs 30-06?

Depends on velocity.
If you mean the difference in felt recoil between two identical bullets fired at the same velocities from two identically stocked, same-weight rifles in .308 and .30/06, I doubt that anyone here could feel the difference in a "blind" test.
In real life, the .308 rifle might well be built on a shorter action than the 06, which means it's going to weigh a little bit less.

All things being equal.. the 308 will give you a pretty good kick... 30/06 will let you know you are shooting a real rifle. At least that's my limited experience.

Felt recoil is 100 % subjective, and canot really be quantified. Actual recoil, which can be measured, would be very close to the same with the .308 and the .30-06 150 gr. loads, given equal velocities and identical rifles.
It's not 100% subjective, but it is a rather high number IMHO, and this number can vary from individual to individual.pisgah said:

Newton's laws would tell you recoil would be the same for the same weight bullet fired at the same velocity from rifles weighting the same. Felt recoil has no measurement scale. Depends on many factors, such as stock design, type of action, etc. I'm not betting in this game.

In 150 gr bullets the speed would be about the same. Let's say about 2900fps. If you look at the 4th edition Sierra manual and take their suggested hunting loads, the 308 runs about 15.97 ft/lbs of free recoil and the 30/06 about 18.26 ft/lbs of free recoil. This is a quick calc I did so don't call it gospel, but it shows little difference. Again this is free recoil, not felt recoil.....
