ARIC, they are a PITA Phillips. Weirdly in-between size head, not 2 not 3. When I finally got them out, I replaced with some longer plated deck type screws I had. I replaced the factory stock with a Magpul Hunter so factory stock is a light weight spare if needed.
Thanks for the reply rem58. I considered the magpul stock, but they don't have a left handed one. I'll look a pulling the pad & filling the stock with foam.
