JW, That looks like my kitchen in 1966! I couldn't handle a shop that small. I have too much equipment, tools and hardware. For a small shop, yours looks pretty clean. Remember, a "clean" shop means your not doing much in it!.........................Dick :wink:

Only things missing are the window over the small belt sander and all the duct work for the air handling system, and air hoses hanging from the ceiling............AND an "assembly bench"........... :wink:

( and seal that crack in the floor,any and ALL small parts will find their way in them, so NO gaps,cracks or such on the floor or where the cabinets meet the floor..............) :roll:

I have a 30' x 50' garage but its cold out side..

Thats was a kitchen in a house i tore down years back.

That crack story is no joke. I have a picture of it clean.That mite be the easy way out.

If I clean it all up nice & put away then I`ll need the first thing I put up & could`nt find it , then have to work my way backwards until I did find it !!!!

End results is I`ll have a bigger mess than when I started & still not know where my mess is at !!!

Really though , fairly straight mess , just my boolit piles get a little big at times !

Well ,I started out using 2 different lubes , now they both have White Label Lubes Carnauba Red in em , so now I leave the 1 on the left set up with the 359 die & the other with a 4305 die & it gets rifle boolit duty (the nut is easier to start on this 1)

But when I have help it can get busy every once in a while !!!

The last help session was my neighbor & his son , son sized at the Lyman then handed the case to me I primed & charged , then neighbor seated at the RC .

It worked good, the son handed me the sized & primer pocket cleaned brass as I held a primer tool in my rite hand & primed then charged it , neighbor then picked it from the turret press & inspected powder charge & seated/crimped .

We did an icecream bucket (1 gal) of 38s in short order !

But we were using his store bought bullets though , he does`nt have the itch to cast any - - - YET !!

Work shops are very "subjective". Each person has their own idea of what they want/need a shop to be. I have had 9 or 10 workshops over the years and for the last 30 years or so, my shops tend to look "crammed" but that is by very definite "design". I like to have tools, parts, hardware, etc. close at hand when I'm working so even though it looks "clutered", everything is in place and easily attainable in my shop. My workshops have "evolved" over the years and each one has been an improvement over the one it replaced! My workshop actually has 3 segments. Two in my basement and one in my garage. The pic shows my "main" segment in the basement where I do most of my work...............Dick :wink:

I have worked with Meany mechanics and carpenters and fabricators over the years.In Meany different shops.I have learned Meany things from there fine old craftsman.Meany i still use to this day.

I can tell your 1 of those guys who likes his stuff were it should be. I was like that till i got hurt and now things are out of hand.

& there`s nuttin as agrevatting as having to stop & "find" a tool when it`s needed .

I`ve turned wrenches all my life & the 1 thing I did was put my tools to bed at nite !! , It probably saved me 1,000s in lost or left in vehicle tools !!

as I`m getting older I like your design , less steps for what`s needed !!! But it`s hard to get a MAC box up on a Top Kick dump truck!!!

Phil, Yeah I got that "chair" at Marden's for $49! Lot better than the stool it replaced. It was advertised as a $135 chair. It's the best of the 8 or 10 workshop chairs I have had in the past....................Dick :wink:

Ale, I "am" an electrician! It looks a lot worse than it is. Nothing overheating, never popped a CB, yet! Most of the cords are simply tying all the flourescent lights together. I definitely have good lighting. Need it with these old eyes. All machinery is plugged directly into a properly approved outlet. The wife even has "enough" current to do the laundry when I'm down there working!...........Dick :D
