Looking for a gold dot front site for my 4" GP that I do not need to sell a lung to afford, I know the factory used to offer one but it's no longer listed on Ruger's website. Any ideas if it is still made, tried a google search but found alot of pics but none for sale?

Don't think it is made, anymore. It was made for the Redhawk which if I recall had a slightly taller front sight than the GP100. It had a rear sight with a V-notch and I think called an Express Sight. Only alternative I can think of is to use an Express Sights standard dot (no tritium) with a V-notch blade. Also, I think the dot on the Ruger sight may have been brass, not gold as it wasn't as shiny.

I got one. It did indeed come as a set with a v rear blade and was for a Redhawk.

Good sights for young eyes !!!
Then as lite faded so did the express sights , then came the fiber optics , now I have REDDOT or BURRIS optics on the hunters & big orange front blades on the plinkers , but I`m still shootin !!!

I`m in the middle of moving into a new man cave & lost ALL my grip panels, took 2 days for the CRS to wear off but I found em !!

If ya want that GOLD DOT cause cool, get that.
But if ya want it for a fast alignment of sights....
Own both a GP100 and a Super Redhawk.
As I knew the SRH would wear a scope always.......
with a great orange insert.
Turned out both gun front sites EASILY interchangeable.
NOW,
SRH wears a scope(and a GP100 standard front site),
The GP100 wears the SRH's front site !
That orange insert lines up on the target fast if needed for defense,
But solid black above the orange for a well aimed shot!
Ya might wanna check out if that site is what yer looking for.
