He never mentions the full name of Corporal Wilson. I wonder why.

It is stories like this that give Marines (and others) something to look up to and to try to be the kind of person that Corporal Wilson is. That is what keeps our Corps, and all of our armed forces, great.

What we safe and secure citizens fail to realize is this is really not that unusual.
My father had a friend in his platoon called Spider Martin and I remember him telling me about Spider making the joke that the damn Chinese cost him receiving the Medal of Honor.. seems during one of the events at the reservoir a grenade came on them and Spider threw himself on it to save the others and the damn thing was a dud. Many years later he was issued a silver star...postumulus.... (sp?)

Someday they'll be telling stories like this about the Space Force.
Wilson, and many others like him, are the kind of people that I would like the privilege of shaking their hand and thanking them for being there.

I can't even imagine doing what he did.
I can only wish I could be that strong and courageous ....
One of my few proud moments was a few years ago getting to shake the hand of an older gentleman who had flown 25 missions over Germany as a tail gunner.
