So today when I got home from work my wife informed me that our stove had died. She & I spent some time looking around Home Depot & Lowes websites looking at stoves. It seems that they have changed the regulations. They have temperature sensitive burners now. It seems all the manufacturers have them. GE calls theirs Sensi Temp. Reading the reviews it seems some people have had problems with them. I also read a review by one woman that said she had removed them & put in the old style burners & everything worked fine. They say these are for safety but it really just seems to me like the government causing problems & calling them solutions. Has anyone here had any experience with these things? If so please share whether they worked well for you or are a problem.
In all honesty I don't know if it is available or not but I kind of wish I had gas. When I had the house built there wasn't any gas service in this area so everything was sat up total electric.
