There are no "dumb questions". With that being said, they are my favorite ! I have the best chance at answering them ! But yeah, have had a SBH since the early '80's and it digests .44spec's just fine. You do need to clean the inside of the cylinder well to keep from forming a build up of residue that'll make chambering .44mags difficult.
