Can anyone provide a load for 130- 140 grain l.r.n. in 9mm. I have some molds for .38 spl but no load data. I dont have a 9mm mold for my P-85 II, and it whines pitifully all night wanting to go to the range. 9mm ammo is hard to find hereabouts. Can someone help out ? su amigo.....mexicanjoe

Lead likes to be a bit large in many 9 mm. If you go to cast boolits and check the stickies in the wheel guns, pistols, and hand cannons section there is an excellent tutorial on setting up to load lead in 9's.

Not a RN, but I load the Lee 358-125-RF (round nosed flat point) at 130-1 grains (soft alloy) with Bullseye, Titegroup or Unique (depending on mood) in 2 different 9's. They drop at .359-60 and I size to .357" for my barrels. With the right OAL it feeds fine. I am partial to the flat nosed variety.

edit: Oh, forgot to answer your question: use data for 135 or 147 gr boolits, (it's out there), start low, work up. You know the routine?

I would be careful loading 38 special bullets into 9mm cases.

I have shot a lot of .357 110 gr. JHP's through a couple of 9mm pistols with no problems, usually with the best accuracy for that pistol. I have a old Hornady manual volume #2 that has 9mm loads listed for there .357 125 gr. JHP, as well as 38 ACP and 38 Super loads for 110 and 125 gr .357 JHP bullets.

Thanks guys! I've got a good lad for 147 gr, l.r.n. that my p-85 mkIIreally likes . Going to try to keep c.o.a.l. to a minimum, in hopes of better s.d numbers! Su amigo...... Mexicanjoe
