it was Clint Eastwood's birthday yesterday - 96 years young ... 🎂

just need to light the cake away from the curtains - - -

While not an avid gun collector, he purportedly has most of the guns he used in his movies.

In some circles he was also reputed to be quite the "swordsman" as well . . . . . 🤔

Happy Birthday Clint!

I grew up watching him & John Wayne. Good times for sure.

(I'd love to hear more from Barbara Eden from their time on Rawhide!)

Speaking of birthday cakes….
Youngest grandson turns 16 today. They are coming up here in a little while to pick up the 3 layer vegan chocolate cake Grandma baked for him, and surprise him with the cool .22 “takedown” rifle.

Very nice. Right now I don’t know which one looks better!

Let us know which one he is more excited about: the chocolate or rifle.

I don't even want to know what vegan cake means. I never put meat in my cake recipe so I guess all cake is vegan?

My wife has been a vegetarian for something like 50 years, I was one for 7. She will cook me a piece of fish every once in a while but I have no problem with her veggie meals they are really good and she can make a killer salad too. But then I quit putting any salad dressing on it and just add Clemson Blue Cheese.. (got to stay local when you can).... But I do like my meat and primarily Beef...

now what was this discussion about?...... Oh, Clint hitting 96:
I think he totally tagged it in entertainment / western wise with The Outlaw Josy Wales... then he probably made the best what I consider anti Western ever in Unforgiven....

Eggs aren’t vegan.
Correct.
She substitutes applesauce for eggs whenever she bakes a cake or cookies for the vegan branch of our family.
I can’t tell much difference at all with a real cake.
And no, my vegan son & his two boys never annoy anyone about their choice.
