Dern Fedex....

I've been doing my best for the last 2-3 years to not buy anymore guns... even though I did buy an AR lower from the Palmetto State Armory earlier this year with the idea of installing a Fudd binary trigger on it... which I did and the dern thing don't work... so there I am with an extra standard lower with the idea if a good deal at PSA comes up for an upper I might run by there and pick one up... then, earlier the week I get one of my multi emails from Sig... usually they are either trying to sell me clothes or some rifle they've come up with that is a couple thousand dollars... but this one had a nice Sig Yeti coffee container ... I have a Ruger Yeti and so figure I might order one since I'm kind of addicted now to Sigs... (you don't want to know, but some can look back and figure it out) .... dern thing is expensive, $34 but I get ready to order it and then realize I'm going to have to pay shipping because my total order is below a $100.... so then I start looking for something else to get free shipping... well... I did... remember the loan AR lower... guess what is coming today?

Now my gripe is the thing is coming Fedex today and it seems their tracking system is down... and of course a signature is required.... but I'm planning to work outside on our front porch most of the day.... and my idea of saving a few $ for shipping and fell off the cliff along with the deal for an upper at PSA.......

Grouch Attack's business supply stopped using FEDEX due to too many products damaged in shipment. UPS is only marginally better but at least the driver is apologetic about the damages.

I've shipped many thousands of packages over the years and have only filed two damage claims.....both with UPS

First truck drove by at 11:00 this morning but then the 2nd or same truck showed up at 1:00, guy brought the package up and handed it to me but when I asked about signing for it he just said I did not need to.... everything came in fine, I do question Sig's packaging ... seems they are trying to follow Amazon's example of having custom printed tape... yep the tape on the package had 'Sig' printed on it...

I cringe whenever I see something has been shipped to me via FedEx 😩
We are the same with FedEx. You never know where something will end up and damn near impossible to resolve. At least with UPS you can have it held and go pick it up. With FedEx all you hear is go to the FedEx store. We also have a PO Box and at least USPS can find their own building to deliver there.

HA!
Yesterday,, a plain, simple envelope,, from UPS arrived by the FedEx truck. The sender used UPS to ship initially,, and somehow,,, FedEx was the final delivery agent.
Oh, it was shipped with a guaranteed 2 day delivery, and was 5 days late.
Wait until that company opens up Monday! I WILL be calling them & giving them a SERIOUS piece of my mind. And I fully expect a full refund of some form for their shipping charges. I will NOT stop until I get some type of satisfaction.

But,, Danny & I were looking at AR-15 uppers last night. Danny is wanting a plinker etc. Bear Creek Arsenal has quite a few for very reasonable prices.

Last thing I got from them took 11 days but there was ice during that time. USPS is averaging over two weeks for small packages not sent Priority.

Good luck on the refund. If they are like the USPS there is a disclaimer in the fine print that says they do not guarantee delivery in the stated time frame.

I have to confess that something is going on with me.... yesterday morning it took me over an hour to install the Sig 2 stage trigger group on the PSA lower... seems I've gotten way too clumsy .... then took of course all of 30 seconds to install the upper....
Here she is complete, now I just need to find time to sight in the scope... the way my life looks it might be next October at Contender's before that happens...

I guess my one complaint is the Fedex box had the standard warning that there was a battery inside but there was no battery for the illuminated scope... but I had one in my inventory.... now I need some more magazines and a taticool sling for it.

Grabagun shipped a 20 round nickel magazine for my new-to-me Mini-14 by USPS last month. The shipment made it to their facility in Ybor City (Tampa, 40 miles from my house), then it took a wrong turn and ended up in San Jose CA! It finally found its way back and was delivered more than two weeks after I ordered it…

I purchase things from a HVACR supplier who ships from multiple locations across the entire country. Anything over $99 has free shipping and the shipping costs for anything less are very reasonable.
The packages arrive within a day or two and they are not busted up.
FedEx is NOT the shipper

No, FexEx is the carrier, your vendor is the shipper.
