Deerstalker- question about stocks

Greetings. I guess this my first post, although I could swear I've been a member for a long time. I guess not, lol.

Anyhow, i just got a Deerstalker, but it's going to need a new stock. Fiding used stocks is difficult. Boyd's sells stocks for the 44 carbine.

My question is will these stocks fit a Deerstalker, or was there some change over the years that make the Boyd's stocks imncompatible wit the Deerstalker version?

I am not positive but I think the Deerstalker is the same as the 44 Carbine. I also thought the stocks were not available.

You are not talking about the later model the 'Deerfield' are you. That is a different animal all together.

Their description is a little confusing but I guess that should work for the 44 Carbine models including the Deerstalker. Perhaps someone else will chime in.
