I’ve been looking for a stock for my ‘66 Ruger International carbine for some time and they show up so seldom and are such a rare commodity they are pounced on real fast. It’s gets one discouraged after a while. The original International stock on mine is pretty beat up with cracks in the usual area underneath around the loading area and a chunk missing at the toe of the stock. I rarely took it out to prevent further cracking. A couple weeks ago saw one for sale here and posted that I’ll take it. The seller soon got back to me and said someone got there first. Oh well, just my luck said thanks and moved on. About a week ago the seller let me know he has another one and was giving me first shot at it. Of course I will!
The deal was made and he sent it off. It arrived today. Packaged very nicely and opened it up and it was pristine. I got to work and swapped wood, here it is solo and with its genetic predecessor( 1942 Saginaw M1 carbine) which Mr Ruger used as blueprint for his first long gun made by the Company. Thank you Lowhighlander(Frank) for the professional way to do business. Now I have to figure out when to get out and sling some 240’s.
