Hi all. Another one of my dumb questions. Will a new model single six cylinder fit into an old model three screw single six? I have no new models so have none to try. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Hank.

Been there, done that. Of course, the usual fitting specifications apply.

OAL, B/C gap and head space. In a nut shell, usually, if the OAL can be adjusted to fit then the rest of the spec's will often be OK.

Not that I officially condone such procedures.......

I understand completely Carl. I bought a frame and barrel, and had to supply the rest. I found out that I did not have any old model cylinders, so will try to make do unless I can find one. Thanks for the reply, Hank.

Another question along the same lines. Will a new model Super Blackhawk cylinder (44 mag) fit an old model SBH (made 1972)?
Thanks
