I love this neat little revolver and have owned it since I was in high-school (fifty years ago...). My only regret is, she shoots a bit to the left. Without adjustable sights I'm limited to "Kentucky windage," which I just hate dealing with. Nonetheless, she sure is pretty.

Jon:

Grips are original. I won't touch the front sight to correct the problem, I'd just be asking for trouble if I did.

You have a nice one there...... and, by the way, ALL BEARCATS are cute! :D

Sight adjustment? The barrel needs to be turned just a tiny bit.

flatgate,

This might be a stupid question but I thought of it when I read your post.
Since the cylinder frame is aluminum, isn't it a bit dangerous to try to tweak the barrel ?
Seems I read somewhere some one ruined his Bearcat doing that.

Rich, If it's shooting just a "little" left, you can take a "little" off the "right" side of the front sight to correct. It's not rocket science, as I have done this numerous times to correct a "little" variance! Touch-up blue will complete the job.....................Dick

Morning, Rich,

That's a very nice little Bearcat you have, there, Sir! Still lovely, even after all these years (sort of like my wife!). I wish I had been "hip" to those little revolvers back in those days. I got a Single Six Convertible, and thought I had covered my bases. Turns out, I was a short-sighted silly goose for not getting a Bearcat, too!! Oh, well.... better late, than never. I will be heading down the mountain to pick up my very first Bearcat, in stainless steel, a little later today!! Yippee!! I stop at Wally's World to score some ammo, before picking up the gun, and then, hopefully, can get some shooting in soon!

Thanks for sharing your lovely little Ruger with us, Rich. She's most definitely a keeper. Take care, and God Bless!

Every Good Wish,
Doc
