So, scrolling through social media and came across these shirts…now maybe it's the rum and coke, but I sorta thought a cat, dressed as a samurai, riding a t-Rex, shooting a revolver with a volcano in the background…well, that's pretty cool. I have no idea what the oriental writing says…probably "stupid round eye got suckered into buying this cheap shirt".

I also found this one amusing…

So…cool or too much rum. I already have shirts with Broncos, Land Cruisers, Rovers, and Jeeps on it (yes, all on same shirt)- and others with various Hawaiian patterns. Fits my MO.

Edit: well, crap. Thought I’d found my next cool obnoxious party shirt. But it looks like the website is a scam. Go figure.

I recently ordered a T-shirt that had a Vikings theme on it. It was TWO sizes too small and final price with shipping cost 3X as much as simply getting it from a brick and mortar store. I guess no one in the U.S. has the artistic know how to design fabrics with similar designs. I gave the tee to my nephew. He loved it.

Twenty odd years ago one of the industries I had customers was the textile industry. At that time the US textile industry was rapidly shrinking. It has continued to shrink to a point that it's not only on life support but the plug has been pulled.

Textile plants require manpower. Manpower costs more money here than in third world nations. Simply put, the US labor force has priced itself out of many industries.

As another example, a large manufacturer of multi tools has the parts stamped out at a US contractor here in California. These are made using foreign made steel.

The parts are then shipped in bulk to China. If you're keeping track that's two ocean crossings. The parts are then finished (knife blades sharpened) and the tools assembled.

The assembled tools are then shipped back to the US for sale. The "manufacturer" proudly stamped "Made in the USA" on their product. They got called on that and changed it to "Designed in the USA" as the lions share of the work was done overseas.

Again if you're keeping track, that's three ocean crossings. So it's cheaper, labor wise to ship the materials across the Pacific Ocean three times than buy US made steel, and have US labor finish and assemble the multi tools.

Those shirts in the OP are sold by many vendors that aren't all scams. Do a "Search with Google lens" if you have access to Google.

I've got hundreds of "cool" shirts I've collected and worn over the past 50 years.

To be honest, I prefer just plain white or plain black, flannels and long sleeve fishing type shirts. I get more snark than I can handle pretty much just from the internet these days. I'm all out of wit and smart assery.

There is nothing ORIGINAL left to say that makes any sense any more.
