Cool little E-scale

It's good to get something initially having low expectations and to be ultimately surprised at the usability of some new products.

I bought a little E-scale for my load bench when I'm throwing and measuring charges individually because I got tired of throwing a charge and having to walk back and forth between the press and large scale to weigh a charge.

This little guy fits snugly between presses and it checks out very favorably with my scale weight check set (we ALL have a set of these no?) and almost exact (to .01 gn as factual as that can be) with my several hundred dollar iSO scale.

It runs on either battery or USB-C, AND it can be switched to other units of measurement like grams, ounces etc. For under $50 on Ebay I think they're a steal! Funny, mine did not come with a scale pan though the listing shows they do but I had a few pans from the many scales I've had so no biggie.

The one drawback of it for me is for some reason they put the USB connection on the side. Most everyone has real estate on a bench in front or in the back of a crowded (at least mine is) bench but on the sides? Not so much!

Have you tested it for drift? Leave it on and use a test weight over and over again on and off for a time to see if it holds zero.

I have a Hornady Gen-3 1500 pocket scale and it trickles very well but doesn't hold zero very long at all. So I have to tear it over and over before each weighing or I can not trust it. One day I want to get a Creedmoor Sports TRX-925 Precision Reloading Scale being they can hold zero for days on end. But then again it isn't all that small either.

Would be nice to find a small pocket scale that could hold a zero.

I turn it on and let it sit for 10 minutes like my $300 one, use it all day and the worst drift I saw was 0.1 grain upward drift. On my big scale I have to zero every hour.

I have no Fluorescent lights nor LEDs either. And I try and keep static electricity on my bench to a minimum also.

I've heard the same thing, but if memory serves the interference is caused by close proximity to the scale. But, both my scales match my scale weight check set so if you have a set for yourself I think that's as far as you can go toward repeatability.

So far I'm loving that little scale.

I like this little scale so much I just may buy another as a spare.

It comes with two 20 gram scale weights to check accuracy which is not useful for reloaders but the storage hole for the weights also nicely fits the included manual powder trickler. Since I'm still depleting my keg of Red Dot and my Dillon powder measures throw Red Dot so terribly inaccurately, I have to weigh my all of my charges. This little mobile scale can sit right next to the press I'm loading on and not have to walk back and forth to the large scale.

I sincerely doubt that it "really" measures to .01 grains but that little granular display sure tells me when to slow the trickle rate down. Very cool.

My scale drifts when being used on battery power,but it's stable on outlet 120 vac...

There was no brand and I just looked for a link in Ebay and they seem to be all gone. :-(
