My wife makes oatmeal cookies using the recipe on inside lid of Quaker Oats container…..don’t know how healthy but seems like low sugar…..I eat them in a reckless fashion…at least 12 a day. They don’t seem to have any deleterious effects…seems to improve digestion and blood pressure. Been doing this for years.

I like oatmeal raisin- but not when I was expecting chocolate chip, Want fruit in a cookie? Fig Newtons! Awesome, but I have never seen or tasted home made. I may have to try making my own.

I am another one for the peanut butter with fork crosses on the top. I’m not supposed to have things like that in my diet, but I will occasionally whip up a batch. Especially during the holiday season. My wife used to make really good oatmeal cookies using the recipe on the carton with a few special touches.

I've got a sweet tooth, so virtually any cookie is OK with me, but I'd have to pick home-made chocolate chip as my favorite, with either pecans of walnuts added.
For the ultimate cookie experience, take either a chocolate chip or oatmeal cookie (preferably without raisins, but hey, you do you), put it in the toaster oven under toast until it just starts to brown, then spread a generous dollop of peanut butter on it and eat it while warm.

Tomorrow would have been my 38th anniversary with my 1st wife. She was an incredible baker and made the best peanut butter cookies in the world complete with the pressed fork design on the top.
I've never had another peanut butter cookie that could rival hers. My current wife is an excellent cook and baker and makes many great things but nothing is quite like my 1st wife's peanut butter cookies
Given the choice of oatmeal or none I pick none. Peanut butter or chocolate chip though are HIGH on my list.

I'm like a lot of folks, haven't run into a cookie I didn't like yet. Might Fig Newtons have been the original fruit bar? For oatmeal cookie folks, oatmeal with butterscotch chips (Oatmeal Scotchies), you get the healthful oatmeal and satisfies the sweet tooth at the same time :D

My grandma used to make molasses cookies with sprinkled sugar and a raisin on top. One of my favorite cookies is a pineapple sugar cookie. I know these are not homemade but I like the maple leaf creme cookies from ALDI
