computer help with Win 10 and pics

Got a new laptop with windows 10 home edition on it and I'm slowly getting used to it. What I can't figure out is how to create a photo album and get pictures sorted by category. As is , it puts them by date or some other order and it's a real pain. Anyone have some tips on how to organize pictures?

I gave up on trying to learn 10 as-is and downloaded Classic Shell, a free app that makes 10 look and work like 7. No problems since then.

Open your picture folder. Right click in an open space then select sort by. This will open another menu you can select how you want to arrange your pictures.
