Commanding day

I decided to take a little break from all the April fool's jokes on FB and wander down to the local gun shop. I knew they were getting in a Commander as I had asked them about it when it was introduced. Last week when I was in they told me they had talked to their distributor that day and had gotten one from them. I had the day off work and the weather was nice so I was going to go test out some new reloads in my Gov't anyway. I stopped in and there it was with my name on the box.

Its just like any other Commander, this one does have an excellent trigger, even better than my Gov't which is pretty darn good. I had shot a friends Kimber Pro Custom Carry II a few days ago and it was a nice gun but I was surprised by how much recoil there was. Mine wasn't nearly as bad, and only slightly more than my Gov't. Accuracy was excellent, although not as good as my Gov't but that gun has a Stormlake NM barrel on it too.

Wow, great pictures! I am thinking about a Commander but I have not properly broke in my full size yet.

I'm like Buckeye Bill, I need more rounds thru the full size! Shure is pretty though! I wonder how it would be for every day carry? Hmmmm.

Its probably more of a novelty for me, my carry gun is a S&W M&P 40. I'll probably pick up a nice holster for the CMD and see how it rides.
