Can't make this up. Really sad but who does this. I was looking for alcohol or something involved.

Just when I think some people in the world cannot get dumber. Surprise! They do.
I would hang around here more this morning, but I have to go play Russian Roulette with five chambers loaded. I will let you know how it works out.

"Just when I think some people in the world cannot get dumber. Surprise! They do."

Having blown myself up more than once, I resemble that remark.,,,,,,,,,,,

I have been put in charge of a 'little' fireworks display we chimney sweep put on down on Lake Murray just above Columbia S.C. in September.
Right now I'm in the process of ordering just around $2,000 in fireworks for this event.

LOL. It was not aimed at you. I am amazed by all the videos floating around out there.
Such as the person saying. "Let's climb over the safety rail so we can get a selfie at the very edge of the cliff." What could go wrong? ;)

I am blaming it on my age... but I have come to the conclusion that people and I mean just about everyone in the human race is stupid, me included.
There is some kind of cosmic joke in all this. We think we have evolved into this super intelligent life form and the reality is we are at the best probably semi-intelligent.
We will one day manage to destroy ourselves and a hundred million years or more from now the Aliens will come back by and collect a core sample of the Earth to look at its history.
What they will find is a little slice, probably 1/8 - 1/4" thick that was us... a combination of plastic and radiation with a lot of other chemicals mixed in.
And they will just say, "yep, here is another planet that about about the age of 2 billion trips around its Sun a semi-intelligent life form developed for a couple thousand years and eventually destroyed itself."

Here is one of my examples of my stupidity:

IMG_7830.jpeg

the hole was made with a Ruger P95 from about 20-25ft away and there was an open flame beside the bottle when I shot it.
I keep this to try and remind me that you are never too old to do something really stupid.

Blume I had to laugh at us all being stupid , yes I think we all have lapses in judgement

Here is my dumb ass moment. You cannot see it in this picture but there is a large divot on the corner. I had a sander resting on it and forgot to make sure it was turned off. Plugged it in and flying sander across shop.
I left divot in to remind me to always double check power tools.

Somewhere I have some very graphic photos of the result of a young man who put a lit M80/Cherry Bomb/something in his mouth to demonstrate how 'tough' he was. He did not survive the detonation.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Oh, and do NOT, under any circumstances, substitute acetone for charcoal lighter. Gasoline is flammable; acetone is extremely flammable. Don't ask...

Enigma,

I think we can pass on seeing that one.
Now I did have a bottle rocket go off in my mouth one time... but it was only because the guys on the other team were violating one of the rules we set up before we started our fireworks battle that July 3rd night.... and I stood up out of my fox hole to yell at them about this. This was an annual event during my latter teenage years.

Like Frank,, as I grew up,, warnings weren't all over the place because we were TAUGHT about things that could hurt us. Lawyers made them put warnings on stuff. Stupid people who weren't raised right,, well, could discuss that for years.

Gotta laugh here.
On Bucket list was riding a motorcycle one more time at age 75 in spite of spinal cord damage with lower body paralysis which took 11 months of rehab just to walk again.
Purchased a beautiful Yamaha V-Star 250 last fall thinking it was small enough that I could balance and handle. Wrong! Crashed first 10 minutes off the trailer!!! Broken ribs, bungled ankle and many bruises. Sold at an $800 loss the following week.

Add flipping a 8N Ford tractor, falling off a cliff while fly fishing in a gorge alone, sliding backwards over 100 feet down a steep driveway on solid ice with a new tractor, and having a dead tree fall on the latter tractor after trying to push it down with front end loader (bad move) - the Roll Bar and hood saved me.

I taught ecology, biology, and evolution for 30 years. In retirement, I’ve done a lot of serious genealogy in the last 20 years and just found out that Charles Darwin is a distant cousin.

Go figure!!

Y’all have a good day.

Old joke; why does the english part of international/multilingual instructions take up so much more space than all the others combined? We have more lawyers.
Idiots need to be told;
Please to the child removing before folding of the stroller.
Warning caution! Taking off of the clothes before the ironing!
Keeping children and pets from inside the washingmachine dryer, this is not for the toy!

Yes, we were supposed to be taught not to do things... I still remember the day my father walked into our garage and saw what I was doing.
There was a 50lb or more solid block of Fertilizer, Ammonium Nitrate, that had been sitting over in the corner for years and I was melting it with an acetylene torch....
that was one of my lives I think I used up.

What? No fuel oil to go with it? 🤪

My brother worked for Martin Marietta as an engineer. They would get a periodical about product law suits. One of the cases was a man had an electric law mower. Rotary type. He picked up the mower to trim the hedges and lost most of his fingers. He sued and one because there was not a warning to not do that.

Naked people ironing. The last one my brother was at Florida institute of Technology. One of the kids in the school was a super techie. He even had a shirt made to look like a Star Trek uniform. Thought he would get in the commercial dryer in the dorm to simulate astronaut testing. Came out sick barfed on a lot of other guys clean cloths. He never mention him again.

Don't drink the battery acid from your car... Outcome not good...!
