What's the best way to remove the powder burn area between the cylinder and the barrel??

If you're referring to the forcing cone, Brownells carries caliber-specific forcing cone cleaning tools. For the rest of the area, solvent (like Hoppe's #9) and a bronze brush will do the job.

Thanks, I have the Hoppe's, but I was not sure on the brush. Bronze or stainless steel?

I use mostly bronse 'toothbrushes'.

Never use stainless steel on your gun.

The stainless will be at least as hard or harder than the metal on the gun and can actually remove metal or damage the finish.

Stick to bronze or softer metals.

I use a tooth brush and plastic dental pics. No need to ruin your toothbrush, your wife's will work just as well, maybe even a bit better...
