Changed the format again?

I tried this morning and it said I was not registered. - - -
So I tried registering with my "old" userid and password. It said
the userid/password were in use. - - - I let it sit for a few hours
and now I can log in. - - -

What happened to the "old" way where you just selected a group
(category) and received a list of what was there? - - - Now it
tells me about "Similar threads", which I may not care about.

I programmed computers for decades, so change is not new.
How about improving the user experience rather than going
all woke on it?

I had to re-register because my password and new email didn't work and I can't remember the email or password I had back in 2008.

The forum looks nice and it is really compact.

(edit to add) LCP22LR got everything back for me. Many thanks.

Send me a PM with your old information and I'll get it working for you.

Ah yes, "new" and for us old timers, hard to adjust, BUT yes a nice improvement....just gotta get the hang of it, and NEVER forget our "past" contributors, doers and shakers, come a LONG way since the old "united forums" of long ago...thank you
now to figure out how to get my smilie faces on there....hhhmmm( one who cannot even spell PC)

Had the "old" site bookmarked and when I tried to get on got a 404 error. Googled it and got the "new" site and it seems to work for me now. Maybe I missed an announcement that things were changing and the old site would be able to be accessed.

Nice update, IMO. I'm sure this version is more device friendly, though I haven't tried it on my phone yet. It appears that this version will be more friendly to attachments as well. That's one area in which the previous one was lacking, it seemed to me. I mean, who reading this doesn't like to see good photos of cool Rugers?

Another way to look at it might be that the new version is "full featured", while the previous was the "lite" version.

So, thank you to the RF.com "powers that be".

Rumrunner …. May be that things are evolving and that feature/function will be activated asap. I suspect we’ll learn a lot more as Admin massages things and brings it all up to speed.
