I have not yet even heard of that CCI ammo. Is that the actual name, CCI Quiet Ammo ? An alternative, Aguila Super Colibri. The "Super" part is misleading. Its a LR case with a 20gr RN bullet, and NO powder, just the rimfire primer. steve b
An alternative to the Colibri that will actually feed in my 22/45 is the Remington Long CB hollow point. It's louder than the Colibri, quieter than Win subsonic HP, and feeds from the mag better that the Aguila.

The Remington C-Bee is pretty much the same thing in HP config. They are reasonably accurate in a couple of my guns.
Won't function any of my semi autos.

CBee22 is about the same thing. It doesn't quie cycle my MK pistols, but is pretty fun in my SP101

A word of warning- I have a Remington 22 bolt action rifle with 2 Colibri rounds lodged halfway down the barrel at the gunsmith now. I'll never shoot another one!

I'm interested in this new CCI round. I've used their 29gr CB longs for years and get 1" groups at 25 yds with them. I'd like to see what their 40gr Quiet's are like. The Rem. CBee's were dismal way back when, hopefully they're better now.

Another .22 rifle I have, the round did stick in the barrel about 4" from muzzle. I just used and old cleaning rod with a brass jag and pounded it out. Thing is, this one had a 20" barrel.
Why did the 2 with longer barrels have no problem but the shorter one did??? I figured the latter one being a newer gun the the first two had tighter barrel than the first two. Thats all I can figure. :?

The rounds I had were older and didn't have any warning about not using in a rifle. I had previously shot quite a few of them in it with no problem.
I tried to get it dislodged with a brass rod with no luck. My gunsmith tried while I was there but he was unsuccssful as well.
The rifle is an old Remington bolt action made in 1932. It may have the smaller bore.
Oh well. Live and learn. No more Colibri in anything for me.

The Colibri is a primer only load and my boxes say to use in pistols only. The CCI is a subsonic load that is a match to the Aguilla Sniper Subsonic with a heavy bullet around 720 fps. The quiet CCI is not primer only.
