Well on that good wife thing. I think he may have found one while they were both in Costa Rica during the Christmas break A&M last year. They were there on a Texas A&M extra classes trip.
She is an outstanding Gal with a great family. What can I say her Dad is an outstanding fisherman and has a new bass boat.
You know it is serious when Chad leaves his Dad and me to go spend a week with her and her family rather than work on the Cub She is also a student at Texas A&M and still has a couple of years before she graduates.

Great looking pair! Here's hoping things go well for them and the Cub! I got married on the same day as I got my Cessna 170 49 years ago today. Maybe history can repeat itself. A great wife and a great airplane, what more could a man want? Oh yeah, great grandchildren too.

Yep Depending what year you bought your 182. If not the panel the engine did.

Inflation does that. I bought my 1971 Citabria GCBC for I think, for $5,800 in 1978. I sold it about 2 years ago for $45,000`s. Of course I also had the engine overhauled and had it recovered. It had the barest instruments. Just before that I owned a 1956 Piper tri pacer with the 0320 and it was metalised. I paid $5,000 for that one. I crashed it.
I started flying lessons in 1966. It was unbelievably cheap in today's money yet was expensive to me at the time. I quit. Then in 1975 or so I had a bachelor uncle with problems. He told me I was going to come into some money and ordered me to blow it on something I always wanted to do but didn't want to spend for it. He said "I wish I had". Right after that he committed suicide. (He was a decorated war two vet 82nd AB and I guess had PTSD before they dreamed the label up.) I bought the Tri pacer with my inheritance and got my license in it. I wasn't a good flyer just a bold, lucky dumb one. I could always "drive the planes" just fine but was weak with everything else to do around it such as radio speak, regulations and the mountain of rules. I was fine with uncontrolled fields but scared of busy airports etc. My take is unless you plan on flying for a living or are rich, most normal people can't afford flying unless that's your biggest hope in life and ignore most everything else.
