Johnnu2, I’d buy all the pairs I could find at that price. I bought just the 32 combo about 5-6 years ago for about $1200 and was happy to get it.

Remember Chad told us that he only got 6 responses to last years questionnaire, and that's a shame.
I will be the first to admit that I forgot to send mine back in time, but I will not make that mistake again this year when I get mine.
Buckeye shooters go for $800.00 - $1,000.00 on GB, and as Chad has reminded us it is only a guide and is only as good as those who take the time to fill it out.
IMHO Troy gave the best response to the OP's question. So I'll use my guns as an example, my pair are both N.I.B. both are 2 digit guns 610-00057 - 611-00057.
I also have the Jerry's Sport Center SBH .44 Mag/44/40 87-00057 NIB. I value those guns individually at $1,500.00 and the 3 gun set at 4.5 -5 K.

hey you never know I sold the Buckeye PAIR, along with the 44/40 and 44 mag, matching gun, so THREE , all new in the boxes, last fall at Medina for $3000, so just how much does one want to "make"???:unsure::cool::rolleyes:

There are days that I'm glad I found out about something for sale after the sale is completed by someone else so my pocket book is safe as I wouldn't have bat an eye at paying that for all three even if they were not matching serial numbers.

even then, the times, the economy, location to location, all variables that affect the market prices and , add in as I said "how much does one need to make" for any given sale??? If one buys it right, and someone else really wants it, then its a win-win most all the time,, this has always worked for me over the years, smart folks KNOW a deal when they see it, (y)(y);)......and good stuff usually sells itself......:rolleyes::cool:
I think the last matching number pair in boxes with shippers that I sold went for around $2500 plus shipping. But that was a few years ago, probably pre-pandemic. At that time, the S32X would bring $1200 by itself and the S3840 would fetch $1000, so the matched number aspect added a $300 premium.

When we get into this kind of money I'd guess we're only talking to perhaps a dozen or so "serious collectors", if that.

I don't know how much you can rely on the Blue Book of Gun Values, but the 2025 edition lists them for $1,815 each NIB. It doesn't distinguish between the two calibers. Last years edition had the had 10mm/38-40 at $1500 and 32/32-20 at $1650.
I prefer to buy buy guns that are like me, fully depreciated and missing the original packaging.
